Simba Run Vail Condominiums announced today that it has completed a $5 million exterior renovation as part of its 30 year anniversary celebration. The renovation included new windows and all exterior surfaces of the complex. “We gave the same attention to the exterior that we did to the interior a few years ago,” stated General Manager Farrow Hitt. “R.A. Nelson did a great job in executing our vision to update the look of the property, as well as provide guidance in increasing our energy efficiency.”

One of Vail’s first condominium properties, the overhaul includes over 700 new, quieter windows providing low E366 high energy efficiency. These new windows increase glass refraction from 32% to 97.8% which helps retain heat in the winter and keeps the condominiums cooler in summer. The building also has new siding, stucco, trim and a refreshing look with new exterior paint colors.

Along with the exterior renovation, many of the property’s 72 condominium owners worked on remodeling their one and two bedroom units with items such as granite counter tops and new beds. “84% of the units are gold rated with Vail’s Quality Lodging Assurance Program,” said Hitt, “and we expect this to rise.”

The exterior renovation began on April 23. As Simba Run gears up for another great ski season at Vail Mountain, the pool will re-open November 1.
