Every summer, Vail celebrates Americana in its purest form at Vail America Days over Fourth of July. Four full days of Independence Day activities make up the vibrant atmosphere of this multi-day celebration, and serve as the pinnacle of Vail’s summer season.

The festivities begin with a classic, small town parade replete with Fire Engines, creative floats from local businesses, schools and organizations, and the infamous Precision lawn Chair Demonstration Team. The parade begins at 10am from Golden Peak and winds its way through the streets of Vail Village en route to Lionshead.

After the parade, continue the celebration with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s “America the Beautiful” concert at the Ford Amphitheater at 2pm, and catch the 101st Division Army Band and several other live music acts, as well as all-American beer and food, at the Sam Adams Beer Garden in Solaris Plaza, open 1pm to 10pm on July 4th.

From 12pm-4pm a kids’ fun zone in Lionshead will delight children of all ages with arts & crafts, games, contests and a Kids Poetry Contest. A first-class fireworks display with the ski slopes of Golden Peak as the backdrop caps off the evening at dusk.

On Friday July 5 and Saturday July 6, live music abounds with several additional free concerts at the Vail America Days Main Stage in Solaris plaza. Annual athletic traditions, the Vail Lacrosse Shootout and the La Sportiva Vail Hill Climb trail running race, also take place over this fun-filled festival weekend.

Sunday, July 7 winds down the weekend with the infamous Vail Farmer’s Market and Art Show from 10am-3:30pm, accompanied by the smooth background sounds of several Vail Jazz Festival performances at locations throughout the market. This 4-day, family-friendly Fourth of July extravaganza is one of the best Independence Day celebrations in the country, and you will cherish the memories for the rest of the summer!
