Adopt your Rubber Duck for the Labor Day Weekend in Vail

The annual Vail Rotary Duck Race is held Vail Village on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend.

Rotarians sell sponsorships and “duck adoption papers” during the weeks prior to the race. Over 16,000 yellow rubber ducks are dumped into Gore Creek near the Covered Bridge and race down the river to the finish underneath the International Bridge.

The Burton US Open Snowboarding Championships presented by MINI are returning to Vail, March 2-7, 2015 as the world’s best compete for the title in Halfpipe and Slopestyle. The action continues off the mountain with free concerts at Solaris: Wednesday, March 4 is Pickin’ at the USO; Friday. Winter Wonder Grass Festival is returning to Avon February 20-22, 2015.

WinterWonderGrass is a unique, boutique winter music and beer festival highlighting bluegrass and roots music from local, regional and national musicians while promoting Colorado craft breweries.
